This is a thermal picture of a front door facing south that gets sun exposure. Two interesting points to note, it’s 32 degrees outside and this door is heating up 69.6 because it’s behind a of the glass storm door. Glass storm doors act as a magnifying glass.
Even more important, it is a hollow core door which was installed when the house was built in 1963. Hollow core doors should only be used for interior doors. During the winter heat is literally pouring out the door and, in the summer, things only get worse!

Above is a wood paneled door, same problem both types should be replaced with a insulated door.
If energy loss is a concern, make sure that thermal imaging is going used at your next home inspection.
